FISHING FIASCO
For many sportsmen the opening of the fishing season in Canterbury was a fiasco. The fish were there, but so were the unpleasant and unsuitable conditions. One keen fisherman stopped fishing with a remark that " it’s great weather for ducks, and I’m off to get a dose of Baxters Lung Preserver.” Outdoor sportsmen have always f °una a friend in good old “Baxters.
