HOMING PIGEONS

RACE FROM NAPIER The Dunedin Homing Pigeon Club flew a race on Saturday from Napier for the Albert Stevenson Memorial Cup. The winning bird flew the 550 miles in 13hr 49min, at a velocity of 1165 yards per minute. Mr W. Strother liberated 82 birds from 16 lofts, with the following result for the eight places allotted to this race:—T Douglas's Barcarole (1165.8) 1, P. Rule’s Whitewings (1165.1) 2, J.
