CLUB ACTIVITIES

Otago Club.—The following are the results of matches played at Balmacewen: — Knock-out Competition for Haggitt Cup: J. W. Mclntosh beat H. A. Airey 7 and 5. L. A. Rankin beat A. Wardale 3 and 2. Intermediate Championship: R. F. Barr beat R. O. Talbot 2 and 1, L. A. Kaye beat G. W. Groves 3 and 2, W. D. McKenzie beat J. P. Cartwright 5 and 4. Junior Championship: A. G. Edey beat T. H. Brown 1 up, R. L. C. Grant beat H. A. Airey 1 up. Belleknowes Club.—The Stableford Bogey Handicap, played in two grades on Saturday afternoon, resulted in a win for J. Gooseman with the good score of 28—9—37, M. S. Tansley was next with 30—6—36, and R. A. Penman scored 28— 5—33. In the juniors, W. N. Evans was the winner with the excellent .card of 28—14—42, and was followed by W. S. Roberts 30 —11—41 and S. G. Kelly 24 11—35. Chisholm Park Club.—The Senior Championship was won by C. Nolan, who defeated F. Nicol 7 and 5. In the Intermediate Grade A. W. Simpson defeated E. Keen 5 and 4, and in the Junior Championship P. King defeated K. Murdoch 4 and 2. In the Bezett Plate semi-final, R. King defeated G. V. Mora 1 up and J. A. Campbell won by default from G. Watt, In the semi-final of the Senior Roarers’ Mug Competition, A. W. Sinclair defeated R. Maw 4 and 3 and L. A. Wood beat A. Duckworth 4 and 3, while in the juniors F. Eckrich defeated W. R. Olsen 2 up and T. E. Mora defeated B. C. Abernethy 4 up. In the Medal Handicap L A. Wood was the winner with a net 63, his card reading 75—12—63, while P. A King won the B Grade, 85—21—64, Juvenile Club: W. Edgar,: with 32 points, won the Australian Stableford Handicap, thfe next best being G. Balchin (30 points) and E. A. Sinclair (26 points). St. Clair Ladies’ Club.—The first qualifying round of the Club Championship and junior cup will be played at Corstorphine to-morrow.

Taieri Ladies’ Club. —A one-day tournament will be playecl on the Taieri links on Wednesday.
