BLOOD DONORS
Appeal to R.S.A. Members Dr Ronald made a special appeal to R.S.A. members at their quarterly meeting on Saturday might to send in their names as blood donors to the Oamaru Public Hospital. He said the hospital was in need of much larger quantities of blood than were available at present. Only about 40 new donors had come forward and a small list of about 80 to 90 was at present available, whereas about 400 were needed. They were only working from hand to mouth, and he asked members between the ages of 21 and 50 years to offer their services. Appointments would be made at times suitable to the donors, and transport would be supplied if necessary. Mr A. C. Piper, secretary of the association, intimated that he would receive names on behalf of the hospital authorities.
