CATHEDRAL WEDDING

Bride in Magnolia Satin A trained Grecian gown of magnolia sat.in with a necklet of pearls was worn by Nola Janet, only daughter of Mr and Mrs Charles L. McAdam, of Eglinton road, for her marriage at St. Paul’s Cathedral last Wednesday afternoon to Darvvent Sydney, younger son of Mr and Mrs Howard C. Dodgshun, of Lynn street. The bride’s veil of tulle and Homton lace, which was lent by a friend, was secured with orange blossom, and she carried a bouquet of Marechal Neil roses and cream hyacinths. The ceremony was performed by the bride’s uncle, the Rev. Canon George Coats, of Auckland, assisted by Dean Button. The bridesmaids —Miss Eleanor Carswell, Miss Jacqueline Fraser, and Miss Alison Earnshaw —wore frocks of ctel" phinium blue cloque, with matching ostrich plumes in their hair. .Their bouquets were of pale pink hyacinths. The best man was Mr lan Douglas ana the groomsmen Mr Dennis Wood and Mr lain Gallaway. The reception was held at the bomerset Lounge, where the guests were received by Mr and Mrs McAdam and Mr and Mrs Dodgshun. Mrs McAdam wore a black silk suit, a black hat trimmed with cream roses, silver fox furs and ivory accessories. Mrs Dodgshun wore a cinnamon brown ensemble, with a pinx shoulder spray. . .
