A PUBLIC MEETING will be held in the Waiiiiate County Council Chambers, Waimate, on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 1947, at which members of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Council will explain the proposal to create a Waitaki Soil Conservation District. The area affected .by the proposal is the watershed of the Waitaki River, and comprises those portions of Mackenzie and Waimate Counties not already in the South Canterbury Catchment District, most of Ahuriri, Otekaikc and Awamoko, and parts of Waiareka and Papakaio Ridings of the County of Waitaki.
