GENERAL COURT OF CONVOCATION. Pursuant to the New Zealand University Act, 1926, an ELECTION OF FIVE (5) MEMBERS OF SENATE by members of the General Court of Convocation will be held on WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 1, 1947. This is the Statutory Triennial Election, and the term of office will be three years —viz., from January 1, 1948, to December 31, 1950. NOMINATIONS WILL CLOSE at the University Office, Wellington, at Noon on SATURDAY, SETEMBER 6, 1947. Nomination Papers may be obtained from the Registrar of any constituent College or of the University of New Zealand. The attention of nominees is directed to the provision, published in the University Calendar, whereby candidates may submit, with their nomination papers, certain information for circulation with the voting papers. The POLL WILL CLOSE at 5 p.m on WEDNESDAY. OCTOBER 1, 1947. Voting papers, if delivered, must reach the Returning Officer, University of New Zealand, Bowen street, Wellington, not later than that hour; if posted, they must bear the postmark of that day.
