EASTERN DISTRICTS SUB-UNION. At a meeting of the Eastern Districts’ Sub-union, it was decided to continue the Flag competition in conjunction with the Knock-out competition. Arrangements were made for the winners of the Fifth Grade competition in Dunedin to piav the Eastern Districts Junior (under 17) team. It was decided to accept the offer of North Otago to send the Eastern Districts Senior team as a curtain-raiser to the match between North Otago and a Maori side at Oamaru on September 20. The annual interclub seven-a-side tournament was fixed for September 27. Mr Leckie was appointed manager and coach of the senior team to play Waimate and Mr Duncan manager of the juniors. On September G the Eastern Districts (under 20) team would play Maniototo at Palmerston and this day would also see the final of the Knock-out competition.
