TAIERI AND CARISBROOK

• Sir. —Perhaps it is a little late in the season to complain, but I for one am very disappointed in the fact that the Taieri team fiave'not played on Carisbrook this season. I do not know who is responsible for this, but I do know that Taieri has played excellent football and has well deserved a game on Carisbrook, especially when we notice that one of the Otago representatives. Pete Johnston, comes from Taieri. I believe that if the country teams are given a game on the union’s main ground it will encourage them to even better efforts in the class of football played Taieri has lately been playing football as the game should be played.—l am. etc., , August .18 Pop.
