SCOTTISH SOCIETY
The Scottish Society of Dunedin held another enjoyable function on Saturday in the Crawford Lounge. A large number of members and friends were present. The president, Mr James W. Moody, occupied the chair and extended a cordial welcome to Mr P. Simpson, of Galashields, Scotland. Tihe vice-president, Mr J. L. Thomson, proposed a vote of thanks to the performers who assisted. Items were given by Mr W. H. Fyfe (song), Mr J. Moody (violin solo), Miss Rachel Anderson (sailor's hornpipe), and Miss Loretta Barr (waltz clog). Mr Malcolm Morrison was the piper. Supper was served by the Ladies' Social Committee, and the remainder of the evening was spent in old-time dancing, for which Mr W. A. Nelson was the M.C.
