ROSLYN CLUB’S ANNUAL MEETING The annual meeting of the Roslyn Lawn Tennis Club was held on Wednesday evening. In the absence of the president, Mr J. B. Steven, Mr R. G. Sincock presided over a large attendance of members. The annual report and balance sheet showed the club to be in a good financial position, and that the prospects for the coming season were very good. Congratulations were extended to members on their success at the Easter tournament, especially to C. Allen, who, with V. Donnelly, won the Boys’ Doubles Championship, and to Miss P. Black on her success in reaching the finals of the Girls’ Singles 'Championship. The election of officers resulted: Past president. Mr J. B. Steven; president, Mr A. J Borthwick; vice-presidents— Miss R. Burton, Messrs A. C. McGeorge, G. I. Black, and T. Grimsdale; secretary and treasurer, Miss D Rackley; committee —Mrs A. J. Borthwick, Miss L. Foote, Messrs L. Jackson, R. I. Douglas, G. O’Driscoll, and C. Allen; delegates to O.L.T.A.—Messrs R. G. Sincock, A. ,T. Borthwick, and R. I. Douglas: Social CommitteeMisses E. McStay, D. Hutton, and S. P Messrs C. Allen, F. Parker, and S. P. Goldthorpe. _ _ Opening day was set down for September 20. at 2.30 p.m., when a Yankee tournament will be held, commencing at 2 p.m. . ' .
