UNIVERSITY CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP The University Club held its championships on Saturday over a stiff course around Chisholm Park golf course. Road, beach, and a fair amount of hill work was included and some good races were produced. The senior event over a distance of six miles and a-quarter was won by B. G. Stanley. Detailed results. Sinclair, emergencies, W. Schrader and A. McCunn. St. Kilda Open Championship The St. Kilda Harrier Club’s Five Miles Open Championship, run on Saturday, resulted as follows: J. Napier 1, D. Fairweather 2, R. Smith 3. . The Colts’ Handicap Mile Race resulted as follows: T. Currie 1. A. Miles 2. Civil Service Cup Race The Civil Service harriers held their Five-mile Anderson Cup Race from Forburv Park to Tomahawk and return. The nlacings were: A. R. Geddes 1, C. N. McKersey 2 Bradshaw 3. Time. 26min 47sec. Celtic United Club The Celtic United harriers ran from St. Kilda Bathing Pavilion. The road pack went over the Highcliff district returning via Tomahawk. T. McDonnell and S. Bishop showed good form. Runs home of the other packs resulted: Fast pack—D. Hutton 1, E. Cameron 2, B. Hogue 3. Slow pack—D. Gallivan 1, K. Cull 2, J. McLaughlan 3. Colts: F. Cameron 1, G. McLaughlan 2. J. Gray 3. Caversham Club The Caversham harriers held their run from Jamieson Hall, in Maori Hill. Four packs, which were formed, ran through Wakari and skirted Flagstaff. The slow pack continued on to the frig station and returned via the bullock track. Runs home were as follows: —Colts: R. Cain 1. R. Crook 2, J. Ashworth 3. Juniors: G. Campbell 1, D. Keene 2. J.‘ Dickinson 3. Slow pack: R. Graham 1, P. Watt 2, K. Knox 3. Fast pack: F. Arthur 1. J. Cain 2, K. White 3. Anglican Club The weekly run of the Anglican Club was held from the old Caversham School. The trail led up through Corstorphine and down to Concord. The uphill road was again taken to beyond the St. Clair Golf
links, where W. T. Mitchell and ‘T. Wilson were in the lead. The pack ran down through Kew and in a run home from Forbury Corner J. Mitchell and A. Marrett led the seniors and N. Jelly, R. Thdmpson and Rr Buckley the juniors. Presbyterian Club The Presbyterian Harrier Club held run from the Dunedin Church Hall. The course led along the Portobello road to Waverley, thence to the Anderson’s Bay terminus and home over the Municipal golf finks. Results:—Fast pack: No run in was held. Slow pack. D. A. Falloon 3 Mornington Club The Mornington Club ran from St. Clair and two packs went to Tomahawk over Peninsula country and home via Highclin road.
