DEATH OF BRITAIN'S RICHEST WOMAN
Rec. 9 p.m. LONDON, Aug. 15. Mrs Gordon Thomson, the 27-year-old granddaughter of the multi-million-aire Andrew Carnegie, and reputed to be Britain’s richest woman, has died at Skibe Castle, Sunderlandshire, from infantile paralysis after a four-day illness.
