WOUND IN HEAD
BOY’S ACCIDENT WITH RIFLE Stanley Bellaney. seven-year-old son of Mr and Mrs J. Bellaney. Rosebank, Balclutha, was admitted to the Balclutha Hospital on Thursday afternoon with a bullet wound in the head, the result of an accident, which occurred when the hoy and a companion were playing with a .22 rifle. Yesterday morning the boy was transferred to the Dunedin Public Hospital and his condition last night was reported to be satisfactory.
ACCIDENT ON WATERFRONT
Lawrence Murtagh, a young married man, who lives at 56 Prospect Bank, Wakari. was admitted to hospital at 3.55 p.m. yesterday suffering from concussion. It appears that he was knocked off a lorry on to the wharf by a sling which was being used on an adjacent ship.
BURNS TO LEGS
Irene Early, aged 19, was admitted to hospital at 4.45 p.m. yesterday with burns to her legs, which she received when she tripped and fell while carrying a tray of tea at the Astor Cafe. She lives with her parents at 52 King Edward street.
INJURIES TO LEG
An elderly man, Alexander Greig, who lives at 16 Easther Crescent, Kew, was admitted to hospital at 8.45 last night with injuries to his right leg, which he received when he fell - in George street.
