BAND SUBSIDIES

EACH TO GIVE FIVE CONCERTS The Finance Committee of the City Council proposes that the sum of £4OO available for subsidies to Dunedin bands be divided equally among the following bands: Kaikorai, St. Kilda, Dunedin Ladies’, Caversham, First Battalion, Salvation Army, Dunedin Highland Pipe, and Burns Pipe. Each band will be required to give five concerts, four in the Botanic Gardens on Sunday afternoons and one in the Octagon on a Friday evening. The Salvation Army Band, however, will give its concerts at the Public Hospital and the Benevolent Institution. The preparation of a schedule of concerts, as recommended, will be referred to the Reserves Committee for the necessary attention.
