SALE OF LIQUOR Daily Times Special Service INVERCARGILL, Aug. 4. The proceeds from the sale of liquor on Saturday were a record for any one day since the Invercargil Licensing Trust was established three years ago. There was an increase of £I2BO over the proceeds for the Ranfurly Shield week-end last year. The total receipts for liquor were £4900. The increase in the lounge bar takings at the Grand Hotel was about £125, but the increase in the bottle store takings was more than £l9O. At the Rugby Park bottle store, which was open only from 4 p.m. on Saturday till 6 p.m., takings were £2OB 14s.
