CARELESS WITH MONEY
LANDLADY’S STORY P.A. WELLINGTON, Aug. 4. Olds was a veteran of the First World War. He had bad lung trouble resulting from war injuries. He lived at 133 Abel Smith street, Wellington, and his landlady describes him as very careless with his money She said she had warned him about leaving money carelessly, about his room, but his attitude was, “ I m honest myself—why should not everyone else be honest? ’’ He was unmarried, and it. is believed ' that he had a nephew and a sister living in Wellington. Olds joined the staff of the Census and Statistics Department in 1945.
