Surrey Essex: First innings, 182 (A. Bedser five for 30); second, 301 (Laker seven for 94). Surrey: First innings, 144 (P. Smith five for 42); second, eight for 340 (Mclntyre 70). Surrey won by two wickets. Worcester v. Northants Worcester: First innings, 398 (R. Wyatt 143, White 79); second, two for 44. Northants: First innings, 196; followed on, 243 (Clark 86). Worcester won by eight wickets. Glamorgan v. Hampshire Glamorgan: First innings, 343 (Davies 119, Dyson 96); second, none for 12. Hampshire: First innings, 149 (Muncer five for 30); followed on, 204 (Wooler six for 65). Glamorgan won by 10 wickets. Derby v. Leicester Derby: First innings, 357 (Eggar 105, Elliott 79); second, eight for 249 declared (Pope, not out, 115). Leicester: First innings, 216 (Rhodes six for 73); second, seven for 394 (Jackson, not out, 120). Leicester won by three wickets.
