ROUGH WRESTLING
BLOMFIELD’S ATTACK ON REFEREE OPPONENT TIED UP P.A. HASTINGS, June 11. There was a sensational finish to the professional wresting contest this evening between Jim Henry and Lofty Blomfield, the latter being disqualified in the sixth round after the roughest exhibition seen in Hawke’s Bay. Blomfield, after being subjected to numerous illegalities throughout the bout, tied Henry up in the ropes, and after throwing the referee across the ring several times, refused to release his opponent and was disqualified. Prior to that Blomfield secured a fall in the third round with an octopus clamp and Henry equalised in the fifth with a Boston crab.
