NETHERLANDS EAST INDIES TERRITORY IN BORNEO Rec. 9.30 BATAVIA, June 3. The Netherlands East Indies Government has approved in principle the formation of another autonomous terntorv with ds own Government in Dutch Borneo, to be called Greater Dvak Territory. A draft statute similar to one signed last month with West Borneo, giving it its own autonomy and place in the ultimate United States of Indonesia, is expected to be ready in a month. It will be signed after the Netherlands Commission-general’s visit to the area. The Greater Dyak Territory comprises 150 000 square kilometres east of West Borneo, including a strin of the South Borneo coastline. The population is 320.000 Dyaks. Borneo's capital will be Kuala Kapuas, 53 kilometres inland from Bandjermasin.
