PUBLIC NOTICES QTAGO ELECTRIC POWER BOARD. POWER RESTRICTION’S Acting on instructions by the State Hydro Electric Department, Wellington, that Power Consumption be Reduced by 20 per cent, during week ending June 7, 1947, and by 30 per cent, for an indefinite period after that date consumers and the public generally are notified as follows: As from this evening (THURSDAY). JUNE 5, 1947, the following restrictions will come into force:— ALL STREET LIGHTING, NEON SIGNS AND WINDOW LIGHTING TO BE DISCONTINUED. 4 Consumers with alternative means of water and space heating (radiators) are urgently requested to co-operate and reduce unit consumption as far as possible. All supply will be cut off the various circuits EACH NIGHT at 11 O’CLOCK and SWITCHED ON at 5 OCLOCK NEXT MORNING. Power will NOT be switched off on SATURDAYS NIGHTS until further notice. Consumers are notified that if the reduction of unit consumption does not meet the controller’s instructions, much more drastic action will be taken. By Order of the Board. L. W. POTTER. Secretary.
