MAJORITY DISTRICTS
Rec. 7.45 p.m. LONDON, June 3. An appendix to the White Paper announcing the British plan for India gives the following list of Moslem majority districts of the Punjab and Bengal on the basis of the 1941 census:— . „ Punjab: Lahore' division (Oujranwala, Gurdaspur, Lahore, Shaikhpula and Sailkot). Rawalpindi division (Attock Oujrat. Jhelum. Mianwali, Rawalpindi and Shahpur), Multan division (Deraghazikhan. Jhang, Lyallpur, Oontgomery. Multan and Muzzaffargarh). „ Bengal: Chittagong division (Chittagong Moakhali. Tippera), Dacca division (Bakaranj. Dacca. Paridpur and Mymensingh), Presidency division (Jessore. Mursshidabad and Nadiya). Rajshani division (Bigra, Dinajpur, Malda, Pabna, Rajshani and Rangpur).
