PRESIDENT RE-ELECTED MR A. W. CROSKERY’S SUCCESS P.A. WELLINGTON, June 4. The secretary of the Federation of Labour* Mr K. McL. Baxter, announced to-night that Mr. A. W. Croskery, of the Shop Assistants’ ’ Federation, was re-elected : at the annual conference today as president of the federation. This will be Mr Croskery’s second term as president. He polled 141 voles, and his opponent. Mr W. B. Richards.
president of the Otago Trades Council, received 124. Last year Mr Croskery polled 141 arid Mr Richards 91. . The election’’of the others officers will be completed to-morrow. v - The conference adopted the sections of the annual-report dealing with economic stabilisation. Details of this report, which ' reaffirms the policy of stabilisation, were published in February. . ■ '
