FAIR TO CLOUDY The following official weather forecast covering the ensuing 24 hours was issued at 5 p.m. yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington:— Situation.—An anti-cyclone in the Tasman Sea extends on to New Zealand. , Forecast-to . 5 p.m. To-day.—Moder-ate south-westerly to • westerly winds, lresh at times on the coast, weather cloudy at times near the coast, fair to fine inland. Temperatures cool. Further Outlook.—Fair. Weather in Dunedin.—Fine but cold conditions prevailed m Dunedin yesterday, and a fairly strong south-westerly wind blew throughout the day. The .sun shone for 3 hours 48 minutes. The maximum temperature was 48.7 degrees and the minimum 40.3 degrees. The grass minimum temperature was 36.4 degrees. The barometric pressure remained steady all day, the reading at midnight being 30.51 inches (1033 millibars).
