ANNUAL MEETING OF LICENSING COMMITTEE .The annual meeting of the newly-con-stituted Dunedin Licensing Committee, over which the chairman, Mr H W Bundle S.M., presided, was held yesterday. Applications Granted Applications for the permanent transfer of publicans’ licences were granted in respect of the Oriental Hotel—Robert Buchanan to John Clifton Ramsden; and the Crown Hotel—John Davidson to Raymond Frederick Herrington. The following applications for the issue of publicans' licences were granted:— Oriental Hotel, John Clifton Ramsden; St. Kilda Hotel, Edgar Craig; Caledonian Hotel. Frank Peacock; Wharf Hotel, John Henry Auld; European Hotel, George Trengrove; Commercial Hotel (Green Island), Cyril Harrison Law; Terminus Hotel, Francis Greenhalgh; Oval Hotel, Harold James White; Crown Hotel. Raymond Frederick Herrington. The following applications for the renewal of publicans’ licences were granted;—Bay View Hotel, Norman John McLeod; Bowling Green Hotel, William John Kelly; Branson’s Hotel, John Patrick O’Brien; Broadway Hotel, Daniel O'Connor; Captain . Ltd. W. Scoular and Co.. Ltd., R. ' Wilson and Co., Ltd., Dunedin Wine and Spirit Co., Ltd., R. Powley and Co., Ltd.. Lanes’ Ltd., Murray Roberts and Co.. Ltd., Wholesalers. Ltd Applications Adjourned An application for the issue of a publican’s licence to the Carlton Hotel (Reginald Charles Taylor) was adjourned until the next quarterly meeting, as were applications for the renewal of publicans licences in respect of the Gridiron Hotel (George Lamonte Badley) and the New Club Hotel (Edward Henry Young). Four applications for the issue of wholesale licences and two for the renewal of wholesale licences were adjourned for hearing to-morrow.
