PAYMENT OF DOG TAX
“ People should save the council expense by paying their dog tax when requested,” said Cr Hill-Scully at the monthly meeting last night of the West Harbour Borough Council. Some residents had registered one dog out of three or four, while others had made no effort at all to comply with the regulations. Previously a rangei had been employed to collect the tax. but the expense of collecting the money had been £25 against a total receipt of £4O, and, he stated, it was hoped that this not be necessary in the future.
