NAVY LEAGUE
CONSTITUTION ADOPTED P.A. CHRISTCHURCH, May 28. A constitution for the Navy League of New Zealand which would embrace the branches working throughout the Dominion under separate charters from England was adopted by a conference of delegates this morning. This form of organisation is designed to give greater weight in an. approach to the Government on subjects in which the Navy League is interested. Officers for the new Dominion Navy League Organisation were elected as follows:—President, Commander C. H. T. Palmer (Auckland); vice-presidents, Messrs R. L. Reid (Christchurch) and N. R. Bain (Wanganui); honorary secretary, Lieutenant-Commander W. 01phert (Wellington).
