HOLIDAY ARRANGEMENTS

For the information of motorists it has been announced that garage workshops will be closed on Monday, which will be observed as the Anniversary Day holiday. Holiday hours—B to 11 a.m.—will be observed for the sale of petrol, and outside those times only the emergency petrol station will be operating. The Otago High Schools’ Board at its monthly meeting yesterday decided that the schools under its jurisdiction would be closed on Monday. At a representative meeting of the Dunedin Master Builders’ Association held last night it was unanimously decided to observe the Anniversary Day holiday on Monday.
