FAREWELL VISIT
BISHOP OF MELANESIA APPOINTMENT IN ENGLAND ,P.A. AUCKLAND, Mar. 17. Paying a farewell visit to New Zealand, the Bishop of Melanesia, the Right Rev. W. H. Baddeley, who has been appointed suffragan Bishop of
Whitby, England, arrived by flying boat from Sydney to-day. He will return to Australia on Tuesday and will leave there for England on April 1. Bishop Baddeley stated on his arrival that conditions had practically returned to normal in the Melanesian diocese since the end of the wan The mission steamer . Southern Cross had been returned from the Royal Australian Navy at the beginning-of last year and had been running continuously ever sice. It had almost completed two tours of the diocese. Bishop successor has not been announced.
