Mr and Mrs Oswald Stephens entertained friends on Saturday evening in honour of Miss N. Bain. Mrs S. M. Satterthwaite, of Cliffs road, left on Saturday to spend a week In Timaru.
Miss Joan Buchanan, who has been the guest of Mrs N A./Williamson, of Manor place, has returned 'to Poolburn.
Mrs R. S, Park, who has been the guest of Mrs D. M. Park, Maheno street, will leave Dunedin this morning for Wellington. Mrs N. Haln, of Gore, has been the guest of Mrs Gazzard, Tainul, for the golf tournament.
Mrs Malcolm, of Hamilton, is the guest of Mrs C. H. Austin, Heriot Row, for the Malcolm-Grimshaw wedding, which will take plac6 to-night.
Miss Tucker Wilson, of Los Angeles, Is spending a sabbatical leave in New Zealand She Is the guest of Mrs D. Macpherson, School street. Dr and Mrs Nigel Hannay, who have been the guests of Mr and Mrs N. J. McLoughlin, Momington, left on Saturday for Auckland. The St. Clair Ladies’ Golf Club entertained members and visiting players at a social and dance in the club rooms on Saturday evening. Members of the psychology circle of the Otago Women’s Club were the guests of Mrs J. N. Stewart, of St. Leonard’s, last Tuesday. The hostess entertained her guests by displaying art treasures which have belonged to her family for generations.
