BRITISH PALESTINE POLICY
SILENCE OF MINISTER LONDON, Jan. 21. When the House of Commons resumed to-day after the Christmas recess Mr Creech Jones, Minister for the Colonies, refused a request for a statement on British Palestine policy because the Palestine Conference was resuming shortly. Sir Waldron Smithers (Con.) asked: “Is the Government so weak that it hasn’t a policy when British officers and men are being flogged and the name of Britain is being dragged in the mud? ”
