GOVERNMENT. BLOC VICTORY LARGE MAJORITY SECURED WARSAW, Jan. 21. Government Bloc candidates won nearly 82 per cent, or Parliament’s 444 The final list is:— • Government Bloc .. .. 383 Peasants’ Party .... 27 Work Party .. .. .. 17 Others 17 It is officially announced that at least 23, including seven soldiers, were killed during the elections on Sunday. Most of the deaths occurred in unsettled areas in South-east Poland. DEATH SENTENCES IMPOSED Rec. 8 p.m. LONDON, Jan. 21. Polish Military Tribunals sentenced to death 18 persons, stated to be members of the Peasant Party, who were accused of underground terrorist activities, says the Warsaw correspondent of the Associated Press. Some of the accused were charged with murdering members of the Government Block parties and attacking election commissions.
