CRUISER RESPONSIBLE
COLLISION WITH QUEEN MARY NEGLIGENCE OF OBSERVERS Rec. 8 p.m. LONDON, Jan. 21. The Admiralty Court found ,his Majesty’s cruiser Curacao responsible for the collision with the Queen Mary off the coast of Donegal in October, 1942, in which 25 officers and 313 of the Curacao’s crew lost their lives. The ’ Admiralty brought an action against the Cunard-White Star Line alleging negligence. The steamship company lodged a counter-action The judge decided that the accident was solely due to the negligence of the cruiser’s observers.
