2000 GUINEAS FOR NOVELDA (Special) INVERCARGILL, Jan. 7. A record offer of 2000gns was made by a Christchurch sportsman for the Dillon Hall filly Novelda during the holidays, but it was declined. Novelda, who Is a three-year-old sister to Notus, finished third in the Wlnton Juvenile Stakes after losing a furlong at the start. In a novice field at Wyndham she was badly interfered with and then beaten by a nose by Hall Stand. Novelda is an outstanding type of filly and is trained by A. J. Brombly at Gore.
