The Mayor, Mr Cameron, returned yesterday from a holiday visit to QueenstC>M? Percy Shaw was a passenger from Invercargill by the through express yesterday on his return to Auckland. Mr H. C. O’Loughlin, chief announcer at Station 4YA, has been appointed station manager of the hew unit of the National Broadcasting Service at Greymouth. Mr O’Loughlin will leave Dunedin shortly to take up his new position. The enthronement of the Bishop-elect of Wellington, the Rev. R. H. Owen, will take place at the Cathedral Church of Saint Paul on Sunday, March 9. The Primate, Archbishop West-Watson will preside, and it is expected that all the bishops of the province will be present. The Bishop-elect is expected to arrive at Wellington on March 2. Mr W. G. de Gruchy, a director of Port Line, Ltd., Who returned to England recently after representing the company in Australia and New Zealand for the last 20 years, has now retired. He will retain his seat on the Board of Directors. Mr T. S. Townsend, of Auckland, general manager of Kerridge Theatres, has been visiting Dunedin in the course of a tour of inspection of the theatres in his circuit in the South Island.
