PAMIR REACHES SYDNEY SYDNEY, Jan 4. With her sails heavy with rain, the four-masted barque Pamir made Sydney last night unassisted by either tug or pilot The Pamir’s master said that there was a little misunderstanding, and the tug did not'' arrive on time. The barque entered the harbour after an eight-hour battle with a strong southeasterly wind. The Pamir was seen off Barrenjoey early yesterday afternoon but as she was preparing to enter the harbour she was caught by a gusty southeasterly. and by about 4 p.m the ship had been blown 40 miles to sea The Pamir anchored in Watson’s Bay. just inside the heads, and will berth at Circular quay this morning The Pamir’s time for the run from Lyttelton was 15 days 1 hours.
