YOUNG HELPERS’ LEAGUE All children who belong to the Young Helpers’ League have materially assisted to brighten the lives of British orphans living in Dr Barnardo’s Homes. At the annual box

opening of the Port Chalmers branch, the sum of £l4 was obtained, while the Christmas tree collection amounted to £4 15s. The Wellington secretary has sent her thanks to all Port Chalmers members for 'their splendid work during the past year, which has been one of the most successful so far experienced. Miss V. Cable is the secretary of the branch.
