The Jewish Agency has published a cable message from the Agency leaders, Moshe Shertok, Dr Moshe Sneh and Mrs Golda Myerson, condemning the floggings of December 29, which were ** revolting brutality desecrating the Jewish community’s good name.” Mr Ben Gurion issued a statement calling for consolidation of the Jewish “ security forces ” in Palestine and expressing the hope that Jewish co-operation with Britain would be resumed on a satisfactory basis.' Meanwhile widespread searches are continuing for the terrorists responsible for the floggings. Jewish terrorists believed to be members of the Stern Gang yesterday kidnapped Moshe Saadia, a 20-year-old Jew, from his home in Tel-Aviv and later told his parents that he would be tried by the gang’s “ secret court ” on a charge of being an informer for the British military authorities. Reuter’s Jerusalem correspondent reports that Sadia later called at a Tel-Aviv police station and said he had escaped from the terrorist trial. He showed signs of severe injuries and torture and was admitted to hospital.
