BAND RECITAL
TALENTED YOUNG MUSICIANS The 36 talented youngsters who comprise the Wellington Waterside Junior Band have offered entertaining programmes in Dunedin during the holidays. On Tuesday evening they presented selections from their repertoire in the Octagon, attracting an interested audience. The band’s display in the Caledonian Ground yesterday was also well attended, the weather remaining fine for the afternoon. Apart from the high quality of their musical presentations, the young bandsmen gave a commendable exhibition of figure- ■ marching which few senior bands could equal, while specialty items were offered by the band's drum corps. The smart uniforms worn by the bandsmen were a noteworthy feature.
