DISTINGUISHED SERVICE
FURTHER AWARDS ANNOUNCED
A list of awards to members of the 2nd N.Z.E.F. for distinguished service overseas announced yesterday by the Minister of Defence, Mr Jones, includes the M.B.E. to Major Neill Aylmer Rattray, of Waimate, and the Military Medal to Private Francis Marwood Gardner, D.C.M., of Gisborne. Fifteen members of the force are mentioned in despatches, and they include Captain Charles H. Upham, V.C. and bar, of Hundalee.
