EMPIRE DEFENCE
INTERCHANGE OF OFFICERS (Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 20. An agreement has been reached by the British and Canadian Governments for the interchange of genera] officer appointments between the Imperial Defence College and the Canadian Staff College. Lieutenant-general G. G. Simonds. of the Canadian Army, will be appointed early in 1947 as army instructor at the Imperial Defence College, where he is now a student. Major-general J. F. M. Whiteley, army instructor at the Imperial Defence College. will take up the appointment as commandant of the Canadian Staff College in February, 1947
