MR HARRY TURNER
RETURNING TO NEW ZEALAND (From our Own Correspondent.) LONDON, Aug. 9. After representing the New Zealand Fruit Board and the New Zealand Government in London for the past 14j years. Mr Harry Turner has re-
tired. He sailed for the Dominion in the Port Jackson on August 8 to return to his home in Dunedin.
Before he left, Mr Turner was the guest of honour at many functions at which high tributes were paid to the work he had accomplished for the Dominion and the fruit trade during his residence in Britain. Among the various bodies which made him presentations were the Highgate Golf Club, the Masonic Lodge, and business firms in Covent Garden and Spitalfields. During the war, Mr Turner represented New Zealand on many commodity committees of the Ministry of Food, while he was also shipping liaison officer for the New Zealand Government with the Ministry of War Transport. In the speeches made before his departure it was obvious that his friends and associates regard Mr Turner not only with esteem and respect, but also with affection.
