BATTLE OF BRITAIN
ANNIVERSARY NEXT MONTH FLY-PAST AS CELEBRATION (N.Z.P.A. Special Correspondent) (Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON. Aug. 15. The anniversary of the Battle of Britain, which will be celebrated on September 15, will be marked this year by a flight of 300 aircraft over the centre of London and a commemoration service at St. George’s R.A.F Chapel of Remembrance. Biggin Hill The fly-past will be held on September 14 as September 15 falls on a Sunday. The aircraft will fly in the same formation as for the victory parade and approximately the same number will take part. They will include a number of the latest jet and supersonic fighters.
