ANNUAL REPORT After referring with gratitude to the leadership of the Very Rev. D. C. Herron and his associate minister (the Rev. O. X. Baragwanath), the annual report of Knox Church states that during the year the position of church nurse has been filled by the appointment of Miss Marian Friis, of Wellington. Nurse Friis has proved':herself to be a worthy successor to former nurses, . ~ Additions to church membership during the year have been 131—44 by profession of faith and 87 by certificate Disjunctions have been 120-99 by certificate and 21 by death and removal from the roll. The amount actually paid over for assembly enterprises (not including the special offering £231 14s 9d for maintenance of the ministry) was £1457 is 3d, being £137 7s 3d more than the allocation. This again included £3OO from one family for one of the missionaries The amount paid over represented a contribution' of £1 7s 5d per member on the roll at the-end of the financial year. Form time to time during recent years attention has been drawn to the need, gradually becoming more urgent, for extenseive repairs and renovations in and about the various buildings. The Works Committee recently submitted to the court a comprehensive list of works that it considered necessary, and this has been referred to the Finance Committee to consider ways and means. The report on missions states that the Rev. M. R. Robinson, who has already spent five years in the Punjab, is now Knox Church’s own worker in India. In China the church has Dr Graham Milne, who already seems to be filling a very large place in the Kong Chuen Hospital and the surrounding district.
