DIVISION OF ALBANIA
JUGOSLAV ALLEGATION DENIED (Rec. 10 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 12. The Greek Government Information Department in London stated immediately after M. Pijade (Jugoslavia) had alleged at the Paris Conference that M. Tsaldaris had suggested that Albania should be divided between Greece and Jugoslavia, M. Tsaldaris rose and categorically denied that he had done so.
M. Pijade stated that M. Tsaldaris (Greece) had suggested to him that Albania should be divided between Greece and Jugoslavia. “He calls that realistic politics, but we do not like such politics,” M. Pijade said. Despite the lessons of history, the Greek Government still failed to understand the present world situation. The Greek Government’s idea was the elimination of Albania from the map. The Greek regime had not abandoned the policy of its predecessors, which was to foment and start wars in the Balkans.
