CROMWELL BUS OFFICE
Sir,—The Railway Road Services Department do not apparently intend to take notice of the traffic congestion of our main street, as the alterations at the Hotel Cromwell lor the new office have already been started The present situation of the bus depot may not be altogether just what is desired, but it is at least on the correct side of the street, and a long way better than the proposed site. I think it was the Cromwell Borough Council's desire when they approached the Bus Department, to have new premises erected in a suitable place, with a view to relieving the traffic situation. In the Crorhwell Argus of February 11 mention is made of an office, waiting rooms, and accommodation for the department’s buses. Like “ Level-minded ” in his or her letter of July 8, I also say that the whole matter should be delayed until such time as the'Government can see its way clear to build a place of its own. If the Railways Department would include an agency for rail and reserve tickets at the present depot. I think this would fill the bill in the meantime.—l am, etc., Progress. Cromwell, August 6.
