GERMAN CAMP VICTIMS INTERESTS OF RESEARCH ' NUREMBERG, Aug. 8. A scheme sponsored by .Himmler for collecting the skeletons of “subhuman Jewish Bolshevist commissars ’’ from the Eastern front for the anatomical museum at Strassbourg, was mentioned at . the war crimes trial today. Documens put in showed that Jews from concentration camps were to be killed so that their skulls were not injured. A former member of the S.S., Sievers, who was head of its “ ancestral and heredity department,” admitted that he knew about. the collection of skulls ad skeletons at Strasbourg, but denied that he participated in its assembly.

The assistant British prosecutor, Mr Elwyn Jones, produced a letter from Himmler’s adjutant saying that Sievers was to assist in the organisation of the collection and a. letter from Sievers asking for 150 skeletons.
