LOWER PRODUCTION
MATAURA DAIRY FACTORY The fact , that production continues to decline is mentioned in the sixtieth annual report of the Mataura Dairy Factory Company, Ltd. The output this season was 480 tons, a reduction of 24 tons on the figure for the previous season. Progress payments of Is Gd per lb butterfat were made during the year, and a further Id per lb was paid at the close of the financial year. The surplus for distribution, after deducting interest on share capital at the rate of 2J per cent., amounting to £lB9 3s 6d, will permit a further payment of 4.002 d per lb, making a total of 22.970 d per lb compared with 21.G32d for the previous year. A dividend of 2J per cent, on the paid-up capital of the company is recommended
