BREAD GOING BAD
ROUNDSMEN REFUSE DELIVERY DEADLOCK IN LONDON LONDON, July 25. Food inspectors condemned as unfit for consumption 12,000 of the 14,000 loaves which have been piling up at a London bakery firm’s depot while the roundsmen were on strike. “It is scandalous that all this should be wasted,” said the firm’s general manager. He added that the roundsmen would not handle bread coupons, and the Ministry was not prepared to let them deliver bread without collecting coupons.
