Ministerial The Minister of Defence, Mr F. Jones, will arrive in Dunedin by air this afternoon. He will return north on Tuesday morning. _ _ The Minister of Works, Mr R. Semple, who is to announce the 10-year works Sian for Otago on Monday, will arrive y car from the north to-morrow.
Mr 7. T Burrows, rector of the Waitaki Bovs’ High School, is visiting Dunedin. He attended the annual meeting of the Dunedin branch of the Waitaki Old Boys’ Association last night. Passengers who left for the north yesterday were Mr S. Jacobs and Mr J. P. O’Brien for Christchurch, Mr A. Hamilton. Mr J. W. Bradley, Mrs I. F. Poole, Mr W. H. Gardner, Mr Diehl, Miss J. Gray, Mr A. Veale, and Mrs G. Jackson for Wellington, Mr G. J. Barton, Dr C. B Feltham, Mr A. E. Hayman, and Mr and Mrs J. L. Bell for Auckland. Passengers from the north were Mr A. Tobin and Mr J. Milne from Auckland, Mr M. J. Boardman. Mr J. A. Race, Mrs A. C. Stewart Mr J. Erskine, Mr R. J. Lamb, Mr K. McKnight, Mr A. W. Jeavons Miss McHugh, and Mrs J. Ridd from Wellington and Mr and Mrs W. S. McArthur for Christchurch. Passengers for Invercargill weie Miss E. G. Young, Mrs D Ritchie, Mr H McKnight. and Mrs H. L. Sproat.
